Multidrive, makers of 6x6 conversions for the Toyota 70-Series also has another variant I had not seen before.

After all the flatbeds and four-door cabs I’d seen from them this was a surprise due to it’s direct simplicity.

After all the utilitarian or AMG-ish work that has gone before I really like this more conventional style. Don’t get me wrong though, I still get a fizz from all their other cool offerings that we can’t get here in the States.

I’d illegally import the hell out of that.

Still probably cheaper than a RHD converted full-size truck. those suckers are CRAZY expensive. Multi-drive is the biz, not only is their 6x6 way more impressive technically than the MB version, but they offer some really cool engineering solutions for fixing a few of the 70 series flaws (like the axle track width issue)

Crazy, like you said. I’ve read that a Porsche 911 selling for $80-$90k here can go for over $200k AUD down under. But like Porsches, there’s apparently at least a small market for full-size American pickups.

I had no idea about the track width thing until recently but it makes great sense (if a little expensive) because spacers are not road-legal in Australia.

For what the 79 Series is underneath the drop-side Ute bed probably makes a ton more sense than this body-matching pickup bed, especially for hard work and abuse, but I really like the looks of it. Kudos to them for actually making it real.
